I will shortly make a shocking announcement, says Raila

Supporters of Azimio la Umoja have been reassured by ODM party leader Raila Odinga that he will soon drop a bombshell he had promised toward the close of last year.

Odinga, who was in Mombasa for the first time since the new year, said that the time was not yet right for him to speak, but he vowed that it will be soon.

After paying Governor Abdulswamad Nassir a courtesy call at his office, the leader of the ODM party was giving a speech in Mombasa.

Odinga reassured Azimio followers that all was not lost and urged them to maintain optimism, assuring them that better times lay ahead.

Odinga, who was in the Comoros Islands, returned to the country on Wednesday night and flew to Mombasa on Thursday night.

At Mombasa’s Moi International Airport, he was welcomed by Governor Nassir and Mombasa County Assembly Speaker Aharub Khatri.

When he lost the general elections in August of last year, Odinga flew to Zanzibar for a vacation with family two days before President William Ruto took the oath of office.
