Huyu sasa anataka nini? Raila’s ally questions Ruto after he says this about BBI

ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna is visibly tired with DP Ruto’s call for consensus regarding the Building Bridges Initiative.

Taking to twitter, the Raila ally questioned what type of amendment the DP wanted since almost everything leaders had asked to be included in the BBI was included.

According to Sifuna, PWDs wanted seats it was done,, MCAs wanted to be nominated CECs it was done, it was done, and yet Ruto is still calling for consensus. The lawyer now wonders what else does the DP want.

“Wanjiku wanted recognition of small Business. Done. Pastoralists, farmers and Blue Economy too. PWDs wanted seats. Done. MPs Wanted CDF entrenched. Done MCAs wanted to be nominated CECs. Done Marginalized counties got 10 more yrs equalization fund. What does this one want?”, read Sifuna’s tweet.

This is after the DP took to twitter to maintain that despite the fact that the BBI signature collection process was already launched, he was still optimistic that there is still room for consensus.

“Even with the SIGNATURE launch there is still a real chance at CONSENSUS for a NON-DIVISIVE referendum that will give kenyans the opportunity to EXPRESS themselves without an US vs THEM, WIN vs LOSE contest. UNITY is the STRENGTH needed to fight COVID19 and organise the ECONOMY”, read the DP’s tweet soon after the KICC event was concluded.

While the president and ODM leader Raila Odinga presided over the launch, the DP was conspicuously missing in the event. His seat remained empty throughout the event.
