How Uhuru pulled a fast one on DP Ruto & allies & ‘killed’ their dreams

While the Tanga tanga brigade were busy saddling up their horses and training their guns ready for war in Nairobi county, President Uhuru Kenyatta had already laid a ground for them to lose.

It all started in December 2020 when self-proclaimed Tanga tanga spokesperson revealed that there will be no by election in Nairobi and that ODM leader Raila odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta were plotting to make the then appointed DG but yet to be vetted Ann Kananu as the Nairobi Governor.

Ann Kananu was once a Chief Officer at the County Government before her appointment by impeached Sonko, to become the next Nairobi County Deputy Governor.

“CREDIBLE WHISPER: It has been WHISPERED Strongly by a Source that, ODM and Jubilee – Kieleweke have REACHED a decision to avoid a By-Election in Nairobi.

Whisper Details…..

  1. Anne Kananu Mwenda will  be the NEXT Governor of Nairobi”, read part of a long post by Itumbi dated 23rd December.

After IEBC posted a dated for the Nairobi by Election, aspiring leaders who wanted to be Nairobi governors got excited and started sending in their names for the by election. Among them was exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna and former Member of parliament Margret Wanjiru.

Things turned South when IEBC was forced by the court to put a hold on the by Elections after Sonko contested his impeachment.

However, remaining hopeful and holding on to some faith that the by-elections will be held, Tanga Tanga through its newly launched party UDA cleared Margret Wanjiru as the candidate who would fly the UDA fag in the Nairobi Gubernatorial by elections.

A fired up Wanjiru, who recently joined DP Ruto’s camp after ditching Raila and Uhuru was optimistic that she was going to win the elections and be Nairobi’s next governor.

Until January, when court approved for Ann Kananu Mwenda to be vetted for the DG position. And on Friday 15th January, Ann Kananu Mwendwa was in a very short process vetted, cleared and sworn in as Nairobi Deputy Governor, which automatically makes her Nairobi Governor, despite many leaders questioning the legality of the two hour processes that took place in KICC Nairobi.

With the latest developments, Tanga Tanga’s quest to have their candidate lead Nairobi will remain to be a dream, as they watch from a far as spectators while Ann Kananu leads Nairobians.

Hope is however not lost as 2022 is just around the corner.
