Harambee Starlets destroy Djibouti in a 12-0 win to storm Cecafa semifinals

Harambee Starlets hammered hapless Djibouti 12-0 on Tuesday to sail through to the semis of the Cecafa Women’s Championship with a game to spare.

Harambee Starlets on Tuesday stormed the semifinals of the Cecafa (Council of East and Central African Football Association) Women’s Championship after thrashing minnows Djibouti 12-0 at the Chamazi Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Having beaten Ethiopia 2-0 in their opening match on Sunday, Starlets posted a perfect result on Tuesday thrashing Djibouti 12-0 at the Azam Sports Complex Chamazi.

Jentrix Shikangwa was the star attraction of the day with four goals while Mwana Halima Adams and Mercy Airo each netted a hat-trick for the Kenyan side.

The Starlets will next face Uganda on Thursday for their final group match ahead of the semifinals that have been scheduled for Saturday November 23rd.
