Governor Okoth Obado arrested again

ObadoMigori Governor Okoth Obado was arrested by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) in Nairobi.

Migori Governor Okoth Obado has been arrested after 8 guns were found following the raid at his homes in Migori and Nairobi.

He was arrested by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) detectives on Wednesday afternoon in Nairobi.

Three guns were recovered in his house in Migori while the other 5 were found in his Nairobi’s home.

The governor is currently at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters for interrogations.

EACC detectives on Tuesday conducted a search in his Migori and Nairobi homes.

Documents that could help in an ongoing investigation on misappropriation of Ksh.2 billion county funds that Obado is said to have a hand in were also obtained during the search.
