The body of a 10-year-old girl who had gone to visit her grandma in Rarieda was found dangling from a homemade swing.

Joan Akinyi, is said to have been playing with her peers as her grandma took care of household errands.

The area Assistant Chief Alfred Oyoyo said that a couple of hours after the incident, Joan’s grandmother got a telephone call from a neighbor informing her that the girl’s body was found hanging from a swing.

They alarmed the police who landed at the scene.

Police said they would launch investigations to discover the cause of her death.

The body was taken to Madiany Sub-County Hospital funeral home awaiting autopsy.
