President Uhuru Kenyatta’s administration has formed a board to manage billions of shillings meant for the Sports Fund.
91-year-old former Vice President Moody Awori, Athletics Kenya President Jackson Tuwei and five Principal Secretaries will oversee the fund that has created debate over the most recent two months.
The PSs are those serving in the National Treasury, Sports, Health, Education and Arts.
President Kenyatta will select one of the individuals to fill in as the board’s director under the Public Finance Management Act of 2012.
The Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich will create rules for the administration of the fund that is to likewise cater for arts and social development.
