Former Harambee Stars captain Dennis Oliech is on the verge of a big return to the Kenyan Premier League 15 years since he left Mathare United.

Oliech is presently in talks with Kenyan champions Gor Mahia for a possible move in January.

The 33-year-old striker confirmed talks between his agents and the club have been going on for the last several days.

“I am excited about the return and playing for a big club like Gor Mahia. I want to help them on the continental level. If things work out well, the move should be concluded by the end of this week,” he said.

K’Ogallo are currently taking part in the CAF Champions League tournament and will play Lobi Stars this weekend.

They are on the brink of a historic qualification to the group stage of the 2018-19 tournament after beating Nigeria’s Lobi Stars 3-1 Sunday.

They intend to use Oliech’s experience at that stage.

The team traveled to Enugu, Nigeria on Thursday for the return leg Saturday.
