Ferguson set to replace manager Silva at Everton after Leicester loss

Everton are Ferguson as a possible candidate to replace Silva on interim terms if the Portuguese is sacked.

Everton boss Marco Silva is facing a fight to keep his job after a 2-1 loss to Leicester on Sunday evening.

Despite a much improved performance yesterday, Everton couldn’t handle the pressure of holding Leicester despite scoring on the early stages of the match. The result leaves them in the 17th position ahead of the Mercyside derby against Liverpool on Wednesday.

Everton face an acid test from Liverpool, a team which has only lost two points from the possible 42 and the club officials have a decision to make whether to sack Marco Silva before or after the match.The task of getting a result is a daunting one, particularly given how Liverpool have started the EPL campaign being optimistic of testing the EPL glory after a drought of two decades.

Silva could be the fourth EPL manager to face the fate in a span of two weeks after Flores, Emery and Pochettino lost their jobs with also West Ham manager Manuelle Pellegrini on the brink of being axed despite a hard fought 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
