DP Ruto skips burial of bishop Ng’ang’a, bishop who hosted him at Kenol rally that turned chaotic

Leaders of the African Independent Pentecostal Churches of Africa have expressed their disappointments after neither Ruto nor any of his team members attended the low key burial of Bishop Stephen Ng’ang’a, the bishop who hosted him at Kenol.

A very active DP Ruto when it comes to offering condolence message to his friends and allies did also not send any condolence message to the family of the Bishop after his death.

The Bishop passed away last week and reports had alleged that he had succumbed toCOVID-19. However, a report by The Star dated Monday 16th November has revealed that AIPCA Archbishop Julius Njoroge told the publication that the bishop died of stress, hypertension and pneumonia.

The reverend was buried on Friday, November 13 at his Gacharage Village home in Kigumo Sub-County, Murang’a County Njoroge said a postmortem revealed that Ng’ang’a had for long been fighting stress, hypertension and pneumonia.

“Bishop Stephen Ng’ang’a has been sick for a long time but the recent incident at Kenol worsened his situation,” he said.

On October 4, one person died and several were injured when chaos broke out in Kenol, Murang’a after youths clashed ahead of DP William Ruto’s visit.

“The police officers threw a tear-gas canister at his feet and it exploded and having a record of battling hypertension and pneumonia, the smoke affected his health,” he said.
