Felix Orinda, popularly known as DJ Evolve and his father John Orinda recently visited a doctor at the Nairobi Hospital where the doctor said he will need to undergo three more surgeries for him to get back his conversational voice.

“We asked the doctor who has been treating Evolve since the shooting how long Evolve has to stay with the tube and he said my son has a blockage that needs to be removed. It will need three surgeries and they are not very easy to do. This is when he will get his voice back,” added Orinda.

Orinda says he had not been given the bill to determine the amount he needs to treat his son.

“I have been having pressure about this matter for a very long time, but I feel a bit calm now that there is light at the end of the tunnel that my son will become well. He is doing well, he has put on so much weight and I am happy about that,” he said.

This moment, what he is zeroing in on is his travelling perseverance since he truly needs to return home for his mom’s one-year remembrance commemoration since her passing,” said Orinda.

As indicated by Orinda, Evolve has been rehearsing the way in which long he can persevere through traveling by road. He is yet to sit up or walk appropriately.

The furthest he has gone is Nyahururu, Nakuru and is currently stirring up the energy to make a trip to Kendu Bay, Homa Bay for the memorial service planned for October 21-22, 2022.

DJ Evolve was shot in the neck in January 2020 during a club spend-time with friends and fans.
