Comedian Othuol Othuol reported dead

Churchill show comedian Ben Maurice Onyango alias Othuol Othuol has passed on. The comedian died on Sunday 11th October 2020 at Kenyatta National Hospital where he has been receiving treatment.

The news of his death was confirmed by Churchill show founder Daniel Ndambuki who wrote on a social media platform (Facebook).

“So sad Ben Maurice popularly known as Othuol Othuol has gone to be with the lord after along struggle with brain tumor. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” stated Ndambuki on his post.

Othuol Othuol has been in and out of hospital since 2018 and at one point was diagnosed with tuberculosis, mid this year the comedian was rushed to the hospital after collapsing at his house in Kitengela. He was later diagnosed with benign growth in the brain.

At a fortnight, the comedian was rushed in Kenyatta National Hospital in a critical condition.

In June this year, he was rushed in Kitengela hospital after fainting at his home. He was later taken to Kenyatta National Hospital  where he was later discharged.

Among those who mourned Othuol Othuol included the comedian and Churchill show creative director Lawrence Macharia alias Terrance creative who posted a farewell message following Othuol’s demise.

“Rest in peace bro Othuol Othuol, aki nimeishiwa nguvu (I am incapacitated),” said Lawrence on his post.

The comedian entertained many with his humorous jokes and style of narration which tended to adopt a deep accent from lake region.

Many Kenyans have taken their time to mourn a talented actor on a social media platform.
