Come face me man to man! Joho dares Ruto over Msambweni by-elections

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho on Friday 16th October dared Deputy President William Ruto to step foot in Msambweni  and campaign for his candidate instead of doing it while in Nairobi.

According to Joho, Ruto is a coward who is afraid of going to Msambweni and instead send his allies there while he meets the candidate at his Karen home where he posts photos and share them on social media.

Joho was speaking after the ODM party candidate Omar Boga was cleared by IEBC to vie for the position.

“I won’t allow anyone to even imagine that they can come and play with us in our region, be it William Ruto or his people. In fact, he is such a coward! He’s so afraid to visit the constituency and all he can do is send his people,” Joho declared.

“If you’re man enough, don’t play Msambweni politics in Nairobi at Karen while sending and posting pictures! Come here and let’s meet man to man,” he added.

The vocal governor went on to reveal that he and his ODM team will work overnight and ensure that ODM takes back the seat which it lost after the sudden death of Suleiman Dori in March who was an ODM member.

On his part, Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohammed faulted Ruto for going against Jubilee party’s decision of not fielding a candidate so that they can support ODM.

Ruto has thrown his support behind Abdallah Bader who is running on an independent ticket but enjoys the support of the DP.

At least 11 candidates are expected to be cleared by IEBC to contest for the parliamentary seat.
