A 13-year-old girl who was defiled by a gang in Homa Bay is still in critical state.

The class eight pupil is set to undergo surgery at Homa Bay County Referral Hospital.

Doctors said she suffered serious injuries that interfered with her excretory system.

Yesterday, the hospital acting CEO Meshack Liru said the most injured parts on the girls’s body were the birth canal and rectum.

The gang that committed the heinous act mutilated the minor’s genitalia with a razor blade.

“The razor blade cut… put her in a serious health condition. The minor is in danger hence she has to undergo surgical operations to correct the anomalies in her body,” Dr Liru said.

The medic said they would also establish if she was infected with any sexually transmitted infection.

According to Homa Bay Deputy OCPD Sammy Nyongesa three arrests have been made.
