Armed bandits have claimed the lives of two people in Kosile and Ngaratuko Areas in Baringo North Sub-county. They left one seriously wounded.

Family members of the deceased persons said their KINs were shot dead by the bandits. The two were their livestock which were stolen.

Baringo North Deputy Commissioner Obwoch Bobwocha said that the criminals are taking gain of the small number of security personnel patrolling the area.

“Most of police officers have been deployed to various schools in our region to man the ongoing KCSE exams.” Commissioner Obwacha said via a statement to local news outlets.

Baringo North MP William Cheptumo visited the affected families on Saturday and ironically gunshots could be heard a few kilometers away as the bandits staged another attack.

The MP has urged the government to deploy more security officers to rein in the banditry attacks.
