Kenyan musician and entrepreneur, Esther Akoth, a.k.a Akothee or boss lady has claimed that makeup is one of the causes of breakups in Kenya.

She further stated that women undergo bleaching by many products in order to glow their skin.

According to her, she only needs water and fruits to glow her dark melanin and not bleaching and applying makeup.

“Gizaaaa, make up has also contributed to a lot of breakups, imagine meeting a Beyonce online and you wake up Akothee in your bed early in the morning before she does touch ups, thank God Akothee doesn’t need make up, this girl was custom made by God. I look my Ass and my whole body is one skin colour. No filter #sulwe I only need water, fruits and good skin care,” she said.

She also advised married women to stop thinking of living happy single life like hers and stay to their marriages, she made it clear that for her, being a single mum is a circumstance and not by choice.
