AFC Leopards players are not playing my style of football – coach Mbungo

AFC Leopards coach Casa Mbungo has said his players are not playing the way he wants.

He says his team should learn to fight until the final whistle without losing focus.

“We held Mathare United very well but with five minutes to go, we conceded two goals. That is not my style of football,” Mbungo said.

The Rwandan tactician is now urging the players to remain focused and play for 90 minutes of any match.

“My players should learn to fight and fight until the final whistle. They should give their best and not lose focus, against Mathare United, we lost focus and got punished. It was a very painful defeat to take home considering that we were the better side in the match,” he said as quoted by Goal.

Leaopards have played four matches without getting a win since Mbungo took the coaching role at the den.

However, Mbungo believes that the jinx will end any time from now.

“I know we have been on a bad run. I want us to rectify a few mistakes in the squad and good results will start coming.”

Leopards will next play Sony Sugar at Bukhungu Stadium on Saturday.
