Police said on Thursday that six people were killed in a grisly accident on the Kericho-Kisumu road.
The mishap involved a lorry and a saloon car at Complex area several metres to Chepseon Trading Center.
The two vehicles collided head on, said a senior police officer,
He said that those who were involved in the accident were members of one family, among them students who were being taken back to school.
The saloon was heading towards Nakuru while the lorry was enroute to Kericho direction.
This comes just four days after Inspector General Joseph Boinnet commended Kenyans for less road accidents and wrongdoings during the 2018 festive season compared to earlier years.
