Cristiano Ronaldo passes Man United medical tests ahead of unveiling


Manchester United announced a surprise deal that saw the former Real Madrid and Juventus super striker back to Old Trafford as they snatched him from the Italian giants and out of the clutches of their rivals, Manchester City.

The 36-year-old left United a legend in 2009 after winning three Premier League titles and the Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo has passed his Manchester United medical before he is officially unveiled at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo was at Lisbon, Portugal, for his medicals during Manchester United’s 1-0 win over Wolves on Sunday.

Another big issue concerning the Ronaldo’s return is the shirt he would wear with Edinson Cavani already taken the number seven shirt.

And Manchester Evening News reports that an announcement about this is ‘imminent.’

The news outlet added that the club are not printing Ronaldo’s name on shirts until Tuesday, which suggests that an announcement on his squad number could be made today, Monday 30th, before fans head to the shops from tomorrow.

Some of the numbers currently available to Ronaldo include: 12, 15, 24, 30, 31, 33 and 35.
