Residents in Soliat village, Kuresoi North in Nakuru County are besides themselves in shock after the body of a 10 – year- old class three boy was found dumped in a maize farm.

The boy had gone to collect firewood during the day when he met his demise.

His body was discovered in a sack at around 9 PM on Thursday by 200 villagers who had embarked on a search mission within the region.

According to Soliat village elder Samuel Lang’at, the boy was attacked and defiled between 4 and 7 PM on Thursday before his body was discovered in a sack.

The boy’s father Albert Kurgat raised alarm after realizing the boy’s absence when he left to collect firewood in the nearby thicket.

The body of the deceased was taken to Molo Hospital morgue by police who arrived at 3 am from Kuresoi Police Station.
